A Pastor Search Committee (PSC) has been elected by Congaree Baptist Church (CBC) to lead the church in its search for a full time pastor. Please pray for both the PSC members and individuals that apply for the position of pastor.

PSC Members.

The pastor is the leader of pastoral ministries in the church.

As pastoral leader he works with the deacons and church staff to:

            (1) Lead the church in the achievement of its mission,

            (2) Proclaim the gospel to believers and unbelievers,

            (3) Care for the church's members and other persons in the community,

            (4) Supervise other full and part-time church staff. 

            (5) Serve as chairman of Church Council.

The pastor is responsible for leading the church to function as a New Testament church. The pastor will lead the congregation, the organizations, and the church staff to perform their tasks, and serve as non-voting ex-officio in all committee meetings if he so desires.
