Hello Brothers & Sisters of Congaree,
As I was reading a devotion I came across these words, “What’s in front of you is far more important than what is behind you. Where you are going is more significant than where you came from or where you have been.” This is such a profound statement when you apply it to your works with the Lord. None of us can change one minute of the past; however, we can learn from the past and be available for God to use us in the future to glorify Him. We need not mourn the past but brighten the future with what we have experienced in the past. Applying these words to many situations in your life may cause you to see the amazing future God has planned for you. In addition, all members are privileged to be a part of bringing the light of Jesus Christ to our community.
I am praying and loving each and everyone of you daily. Please know that I am available to you when needed.
“I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” (Jeremiah 29:11)
In Christ,
Stephen A. McLain

Join the ROADRUNNERS on Monday,
August 9 at 11:00 a.m. for our monthly luncheon. This luncheon we ask that you bring covered dish to share with others.
Our special guest will be one of Congaree’s own, Ms. Eva Warren. She is a dynamic vocalist and a very talented pianist. She will bless your heart as she shares the music God has given her to bring to us.
I encourage all senior adults to come and join us for scrumptious food and exceptional fellowship. Ask another senior adult to come with you so they can experience the love and caring of CBC.
We love visitors!
