Greetings from your Pastor
2 Chronicles 20:6 says "O Lord God of our fathers, are You not God in heaven, and do You not rule over all kingdoms of the nations, and in Your hand is there not power and might, so that no one is able to withstand You?
Jehosophat's prayer was God centered. He didn't indulge in negativism by dwelling on the details of the difficulty. God wants you to be specific about a problem, but His desire is to move your focus onto His power. Name your concern, and begin with praise for His action and blessing in the past; then express the truth of His power.
The king had learned the value of coming to God in absolute humility, acknowledging his utter dependence. So complete was his trust that he never lapsed into self-reliance. In other words, he could have quickly thanked God and then spread out the battle maps to make plans with his commanders. In your situation, the temptation to figure it out yourself may be the same, but God wants you to let Him handle the strategy.
What is even more awesome is that while the king prayed, God already had their deliverance under way. By the time the army of Judah arrived on the scene, they beheld a field of corpses. Not one foe was left standing. God not only provided what they needed, but He supplied them with gracious abundance.
Trusting Him to provide the resources for ever demand makes you a God-centered person.
Proclaiming the Truth for the Glory of God!

THE ROADRUNNERS
The senior adults, otherwise known as “THE ROADRUNNERS,” really enjoyed having retired pastor Rev. Gene Carroll do his comedy routine at our May meeting. He likes to see people laugh and enjoy themselves. We sure did that!
Our next meeting is Monday, June 14 at 11:00 a.m. in the gym. We will be entertained by “THE ROADRUNNER ACTORS” Pssst, don’t miss it, this will be a first! Come and see what this is all about. This meeting is a covered dish luncheon. Please prepare some food to share. You do not have to be a member of the church or the ROADRUNNERS to attend.
We surely would like to meet you and have some time to get to know you. Mark your calendar! See you there!

Anoucements
I want to thank the congregation for selecting me as one of the “outstanding Senior Adults” at CBC for this year. There are so many senior adults who are worthy of this honor. I will continue to be faithful first of all to my Lord and also to the church because I have been blessed. Thank you so much

Ladies Listen Up!!
This year ladies, you have not been left
out of VBS. Vicky McLain will be leading
a women’s group. We will be discussing anything from couponing (you know I love this subject!) to the Sovereignty of God.
Invite all the ladies you see including the mothers dropping off their children at the Saddle Ridge Ranch. We need to reach unchurched moms.
Youth
In May we went bowling. That was a lot of fun and somebody stayed in the gutter…
We also raised some money for our summer mission trip by washing 12 vehicles during the Spring Fling on May 22. I think some of us got wetter than the cars did!
The youth are going to the beach on a mission trip
June 7-10. Let everyone know you are going to use your summer to help others.
Don’t miss the surf and sun
after you are finished with the
Lord’s work for the day!
See Jason Sturkie for further
