Pastor McLain will be having Intercessory Prayer in the Sanctuary this morning at 9:00 am to pray for the lost. Everyone is invited to come and pray.

Children’s Worship 

Children’s Worship is offered during the Morning Worship Service each Sunday. Children in grades K-4 thru 2nd are invited to come to Children’s Worship at 10:30 am. Children in 3rd – 6th grades should go to the Sanctuary for worship and will be dismissed for Children’s Worship following the Special Music.

 

Nursery

A nursery is provided for the Morning & Evening Worship Services. Children up to age 3 are invited.  The nursery is located in the Children’s Building.

Spiritual Focus for Women continues today at 5:00 pm and will be led by Linda Lucas

 

Children’s Church Workers Needed

If you would be interested in working in Children’s Church, a sign-up sheet is posted in the hallway of the Children’s Building. You can sign up for a single Sunday or multiple dates.

 

Southern Savers: Extreme Couponing 101

Southern Savers:  Extreme Couponing 101 will be held at First Baptist Church of Columbia on Thursday, January 28, from 6:30 ‘til 9:00 pm. Carpool will leave from the church at 5:45 pm.  The cost is $10 payable at the door. 

 

 Women’s Weekend Get-Away

All women are invited to the Women’s Weekend Get-Away in Pigeon Forge, TN, March 26 – 28.   The speakers will be Liz Curtis Higgs and Angela Thomas. The worship leader will be Lyn Westafer. The concert artist will be Selah. If interested, contact Linda Lucas.

 

Relief for Haiti

The International Mission Board and the North American Mission Board, as well as our South Carolina Baptist Convention and Lexington Baptist Association are receiving donations designated for Haiti Relief. All contributions marked for Haiti will be used for relief, recovery, and rebuilding Haiti. You may send your donations to Lexington Baptist Association, 255 Two Notch Road, Lexington, SC 29073. Please make checks payable to Lexington Baptist Association and mark “Haiti Relief.”

 

Youth Fundraiser

The Youth will be selling 2010 calendars this month. Please see Misty Sturkie if interested in purchasing a calendar. Both wall calendars and pocket calendars are available at a cost of $6 each.

 

Youth Ski-Trip

Please note that the Youth Ski Trip has been changed to the 4th weekend of February (Feb. 26-28). Let Jason or Misty know if you are interested in going.

 

Souper Bowl Sunday

We will be collecting canned goods as well as monetary donations again this year for Souper Bowl Sunday on February 7. All proceeds will go to the Food Pantry. Youth and children will be stationed at the exits following the morning service on this day to take your donations. Thank you for supporting this ministry!
